The design of the Hetzer was planned in December 1943 and already in January 1944 a wooden mock up in 1:1 scale was shown to the HWA. The design based on the undecarriage of the Panzer 38(t) with four slightly bigger roadwheels per side and with a comple new and angled superstructure in which a 7.5cm PaK39 was installed. The Hetzer was armored with 60mm plates at the front and 20mm at the sides. It got the Praga EPA engine with 160hp, which allowed a top speed of 40km/h. The first prototype was delivered in March 1944 and tested extensively. Several areas needed to be reworked and from May 1944 some items were changed, just as another gun mantlet, different idlers, etc. In the following months there were frequent changes in the series production - mainly in the appearance of the gun mantlet and idler wheels. The later one had no less then 6 different designs. The Hetzer was 6.27m long, 2.63m wide and 2.10m high. It had 35cm wide tracks with a ground pressure of 0.78kg/cm². All in all 2584 Hetzer were produced until the end of the war.

The StuG Abt.1708 belonged to the Volksgrenadierdivision 708 and fought on the Western Front. In October 1944 they received 14 Hetzers and was renamed to Pz.Jg.Abt.1708. The further fate is unknown.

Returns

In the event that faulty / broken goods are received or items are missing from your order, Jumblies Models should be notified via email within 30 days after the order date.

Please state if the goods are faulty, damaged or missing.

Jumblies Models will contact you a.s.a.p with instructions on how to return the goods. A replacement will be sent to on receipt of the returned model. 

Please note we operate a 30 Days returns policy from date of purchase.

Goods returned for other reasons (eg. wrongs goods ordered or model not liked by the customer) must be received by Jumblies Models in New, Unused condition and with no damages. In order to return goods you must email Jumblies Models within 30 working days from the receipt. The return postage will not be refunded via this return reason. A full refund for model amount shall be refunded on receipt of goods returned.

If you have ordered a Model kit, you have 30 days from date of purchase to advise of any faulty or missing parts. After the 30 days the warranty passes to the Manufacturer.

Pre-order Deposits

Deposits are required for each model that is pre ordered. Deposit amount’s can range from £5.00 - £50.00 depending on the full price of the model.

All deposits received are;

•  Non transferable to other purchases or products
•  Non refundable if you cancel your order
•  Non refundable if you fail to pay the balance of the pre-ordered models within 7 days of receipt of notification.
•  Non refundable if the product is released after any advertised release date (All release dates are subject to change and are estimates at time of announcement)
•  Refundable if we cannot supply you with the product Pre ordered due to an allocation by the manufacturer.
•  Refundable if the product is cancelled by the Manufacturer.
•  Refundable If the product has not been released from 9 months of your Original order date and you wish to cancel. (Please note the 9 Months Cancelation Condition is Void when the model has been released)

When you receive notification of your pre-order coming into stock and you no longer require the product you pre-ordered, please notify us via email or phone within 7 days. Failure to notify us on 3 separate occasions will result in cancellation of all current outstanding pre-orders. We are not obliged to refund the deposits paid on the outstanding pre-orders. Refunds are made at our discretion.
