Built by both Hawker (first 35 examples) and Armstrong Whitworth (all subsequent aircraft), the Sea Hawk was a daytime fighter, and it was Hawker's first jet design. It first flew in 1947 and was introduced to service in March 1953. The last operational Sea Hawks, operated by the Indian Navy, were retired in 1983.

The type entered Royal Naval service in 1953, but it was progressively replaced by the Vickers Supermarine Scimitar and de Havilland DH.110 Sea Vixen. It was finally withdrawn from front-line service in 1960, although a number of aircraft remained in support roles with the Fleet Requirements Unit at Hurn until 1969.

The Fleet Requirements Unit (FRU) was a civilian-operated unit of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm, managed by a company called Airwork Limited. It was established in September 1952, at Hurn Airport, operating for 20 years before merging with another unit to become the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Training Unit (FRADTU), in December 1972.

This latest variant of the Aviation 72 casting depicts one of the FRU airframes as it was towards the end of its time there, in 1968. A limited edition, the model can be displayed using the included stand, if desired.

Returns

In the event that faulty / broken goods are received or items are missing from your order, Jumblies Models should be notified via email within 30 days after the order date.

Please state if the goods are faulty, damaged or missing.

Jumblies Models will contact you a.s.a.p with instructions on how to return the goods. A replacement will be sent to on receipt of the returned model. 

Please note we operate a 30 Days returns policy from date of purchase.

Goods returned for other reasons (eg. wrongs goods ordered or model not liked by the customer) must be received by Jumblies Models in New, Unused condition and with no damages. In order to return goods you must email Jumblies Models within 30 working days from the receipt. The return postage will not be refunded via this return reason. A full refund for model amount shall be refunded on receipt of goods returned.

If you have ordered a Model kit, you have 30 days from date of purchase to advise of any faulty or missing parts. After the 30 days the warranty passes to the Manufacturer.

Pre-order Deposits

Deposits are required for each model that is pre ordered. Deposit amount’s can range from £5.00 - £50.00 depending on the full price of the model.

All deposits received are;

•  Non transferable to other purchases or products
•  Non refundable if you cancel your order
•  Non refundable if you fail to pay the balance of the pre-ordered models within 7 days of receipt of notification.
•  Non refundable if the product is released after any advertised release date (All release dates are subject to change and are estimates at time of announcement)
•  Refundable if we cannot supply you with the product Pre ordered due to an allocation by the manufacturer.
•  Refundable if the product is cancelled by the Manufacturer.
•  Refundable If the product has not been released from 9 months of your Original order date and you wish to cancel. (Please note the 9 Months Cancelation Condition is Void when the model has been released)

When you receive notification of your pre-order coming into stock and you no longer require the product you pre-ordered, please notify us via email or phone within 7 days. Failure to notify us on 3 separate occasions will result in cancellation of all current outstanding pre-orders. We are not obliged to refund the deposits paid on the outstanding pre-orders. Refunds are made at our discretion.
