Description

The SR-71 Blackbird was an American reconnaissance aircraft that served in the United States Air Force from the 1960s to the 1990s. It was designed by Lockheed Martin and was one of the fastest aircraft in the world. Its maximum speed exceeded Mach 3 (over 3,700 km/h), and thanks to its operational altitude of up to 26 km, it was difficult for anti-missile defense systems to shoot down. The SR-71 had an advanced design, using titanium, which allowed it to withstand the extreme temperatures generated during supersonic flight. It was mainly used for intelligence gathering, and its ability to escape from enemy missiles was a legendary asset. From 1374 high-quality blocks you can build the legendary SR-71 plane in a modeling scale of 1:48.

The Blackbird appears for the first time in the COBI offer. The set has been carefully designed, so its construction will bring a lot of satisfaction to the demanding builder. Detachable landing gear, movable wing ailerons and an opening cockpit with space for figures are its basic aviation functionalities, which you will discover during construction. The model has been covered with durable prints depicting US Air Force markings. The set also includes a USAF pilot figure in a characteristic uniform reminiscent of astronaut suits!

The whole set is complemented by a block display stand with a plate containing the name of the set and the Lockheed Martin logo. Thanks to the intuitive instructions construction is simple and will not cause problems for less advanced builders. The set will meet the expectations of aviation fans, military enthusiasts and building block hobbyists. The SR-71 Blackbird will look great both in an adult collector and in a teenager's room. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI!
