The Ford Fiesta Mk2 was the second generation of the Ford Fiesta supermini built by Ford Europe. Originally introduced in 1983, it offered a mild facelift of the original car, with some re-engineering to accept an expanded range of engines. The 1.1 Poplar Plus was one of the base-spec versions of the car available, with this particular model representing an example held in the Ford Heritage Centre collection.

The Fiesta 4-speed manual which is modelled here was first registered in January 1988, and would have cost its lucky owner £4320 at the time. It was looked after and used only sparingly, before going into storage for any years. The owners then donated the car to the Ford Heritage Collection, as they wanted to see this original time-warp of a car, which at that point had only covered 15,000 miles, preserved and put back on the road. It’s actually unusual for a base model car to have survived in this condition, as they are often bought for fleet use, whereas their more expensive cousins, the Fiesta Ghia and XR2, were more than likely to have been purchased by an enthusiast who cherish them, so consequently have a higher survival rate.

Its originality has made this car rather well known, and it has been the star of numerous events, including Wheeler Dealers’ 2023 ‘Fiestaval’, a 500 strong gathering of Fiestas organised for the programme. Ford have also used the car for promotional work, most notably in the 2017 TV advert for the then new Fiesta Mk.VIII, ‘Together we go Further’. This one-minute film featured actress Keeley Hawes driving a new Fiesta through what Ford described as an “ode to British progress in all its day-to-day glory”. At one point, she pulls up next to this Mk2 Fiesta, which was liveried as a driving school vehicle, and tells her teenage self to keep her hands at ten-to-two on the steering wheel. She later passes it again, as the driver celebrated passing ‘first time’.

Returns

In the event that faulty / broken goods are received or items are missing from your order, Jumblies Models should be notified via email within 30 days after the order date.

Please state if the goods are faulty, damaged or missing.

Jumblies Models will contact you a.s.a.p with instructions on how to return the goods. A replacement will be sent to on receipt of the returned model. 

Please note we operate a 30 Days returns policy from date of purchase.

Goods returned for other reasons (eg. wrongs goods ordered or model not liked by the customer) must be received by Jumblies Models in New, Unused condition and with no damages. In order to return goods you must email Jumblies Models within 30 working days from the receipt. The return postage will not be refunded via this return reason. A full refund for model amount shall be refunded on receipt of goods returned.

If you have ordered a Model kit, you have 30 days from date of purchase to advise of any faulty or missing parts. After the 30 days the warranty passes to the Manufacturer.

Pre-order Deposits

Deposits are required for each model that is pre ordered. Deposit amount’s can range from £5.00 - £50.00 depending on the full price of the model.

All deposits received are;

•  Non transferable to other purchases or products
•  Non refundable if you cancel your order
•  Non refundable if you fail to pay the balance of the pre-ordered models within 7 days of receipt of notification.
•  Non refundable if the product is released after any advertised release date (All release dates are subject to change and are estimates at time of announcement)
•  Refundable if we cannot supply you with the product Pre ordered due to an allocation by the manufacturer.
•  Refundable if the product is cancelled by the Manufacturer.
•  Refundable If the product has not been released from 9 months of your Original order date and you wish to cancel. (Please note the 9 Months Cancelation Condition is Void when the model has been released)

When you receive notification of your pre-order coming into stock and you no longer require the product you pre-ordered, please notify us via email or phone within 7 days. Failure to notify us on 3 separate occasions will result in cancellation of all current outstanding pre-orders. We are not obliged to refund the deposits paid on the outstanding pre-orders. Refunds are made at our discretion.
