The German Bundeswehr’s transition into full serial production of the Leopard 2 A8 marks a quantum leap for armored forces. With the arrival of these vehicles, the army receives not just an incremental upgrade, but Europe’s most advanced main battle tank. The A8 is the direct response to modern battlefield threats: for the first time, the Trophy active protection system is fully integrated, protecting the tank against anti-tank guided missiles and drones. Combined with reinforced roof armor, cutting-edge composite armor, and a digitized system architecture, the A8 sets the new benchmark on the battlefield.
