Donald Kingaby was a Royal Air Force fighter pilot who flew Supermarine Spitfires with 92 Squadron from RAF Biggin Hill during the Battle of Britain. An experienced and skilled pilot, he took part in air defence missions intercepting German bombers and fighters over southern England. Kingaby was credited with multiple aerial victories and became one of the notable aces of the campaign. Flying from Biggin Hill, 92 Squadron played a key role in defending London and surrounding areas. Kingaby’s service reflected the determination and effectiveness of RAF Fighter Command during a critical period of the war.
Supermarine Spitfire Mk V
