New and now in stock from Dragon is the 1:72 scale Saturn V with Skylab – 1.5 meters tall
Brand new from Dragon and now in stock is DR50392 Saturn V with Skylab. This 1:72 scale model stands at 1.5 meters tall !
Dragon’s Space Collection has previously featured a 1/72 scale replica of a Saturn V rocket, and even in this scale it was absolutely enormous. Indeed, the fully built-up model stood 1.5m tall! That model (Item No.50388) sold out very rapidly in late 2011, and underscoring its status as an instant hit, so did a subsequent rerelease of the same model. Now, Dragon has produced a second complete Saturn V rocket in 1/72 scale to cater for those who missed out first time around. This time the model depicts the Saturn V used to launch Skylab into space. Skylab was the USA’s first space station and it orbited the Earth from 1973-79. It included a workshop, solar observatory (Apollo Telescope Mount) and other elements. The unmanned Skylab was launched by a modified Saturn V rocket on 14 May 1973, the last launch by this type of rocket. The station was severely damaged during launch but the first crew managed to make repairs
